The Chocolate Voice Magazine and Tucson
Black Pages
Form Media Alliance
August 2009 |
The
Chocolate Voice Magazine and the Tucson
Black Pages have partnered to take the
Tucson publication to the next level. The
primary objectives are to increase
circulation, increased coverage of local
news and events, and to promote local
businesses with greater visibility in the
community.
Over the last couple of years, the Chocolate
Voice has transformed from a newsletter to a
full color magazine. Subscriptions have
increased out of state with people still
connected to Tucson as well.
"I
am committed to the publication," said Gwen
Pierce, publisher and managing editor. "We
haven't delivered late yet, but I have
gotten calls from people looking for it when
it even gets close."
Barney Hilton Murray, photographer and owner
of the Tucson Black Pages has come onboard
to help in increasing the local content for
readers. Murray will be acting as liaison
for businesses and community organizations.
"I will work to provide increased consumer
awareness of products and services," Murray
said. "We plan to provide marketing
opportunities that will take advantage of
both online and print." Increased business
profiles are part of the plan.
With the redesign of
www.theChocolateVoice.com,
rich media can now be used to provide online
video interviews and business profiles. The
e-zine version, now available on the
website, allows readers to click on an
advertiser's web address and go directly to
their website.
"We plan to offer a better user experience
for our readers in print and online, and
creative solutions for our advertisers,"
Murray says.
