Community: Sylvan Learning Center of La Mesa Hosts Grand STEM Challenge for Grades 3rd-8th

Sylvan Learning of La Mesa is hosting The Grand STEM Challenge at the Jacobs Center, July 10-14 and July 17-21.
 The 15 hour engineering competition will cost families only $20.
The Grand STEM Challenge is meant to bring awareness to Engineering and project-based learning. Students will work in teams of 3 to solve a real-world problem with STEM applications during a 15 hour camp.  The camp will end with students presenting their creations to local judges. There will also be judging at the national level.

Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, 404 Euclid Ave., San Diego 92114
Chollas View & Emerald View Rooms (2nd floor).
Camp dates are as follows:

July 10 – 14 (8:50 AM to 12:30 PM) – GIRLS ONLY entering 6th through 8th

July 17 – 21 (8:50 AM to 12:30 PM) – all entering grades 3rd through 5th
July 17 – 21 (8:50 AM to 12:30 PM) – all entering grades 6th through 8th
Please note:
  • Participants must attend all 5 days.  
  • Transportation is not provided.
  • Camp runs from Monday through Friday (5 consecutive days) – 1 week only
