Dr. Shirley Weber Makes San Diego History

79th district  Assembly Candidate Dr. Shirley Weber (D), has just made history as the first African American woman ever in San Diego’s history will represent the district which beating out incumbent Mary England (R), CEO Of La Mesa Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Weber has lived in California since age 3 and in the 79th district for over 30 years. Educated in the public schools of Los Angeles, she has a BA, MA, and, Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles in the area of speech communications.
