Netflix releases first trailer for upcoming dance comedy “Step Sisters”

 

The first trailer for the upcoming Netflix dance comedy Step Sisters is out now!

The movie, which comes to the streaming service on January 19, is directed by Charles Stone III (Drumline) and written by Chuck Hayward (Dear White People) as well as Emmy Award® winner Lena Waithe (Master of None), Ben Cory Jones (Insecure) and stars Megalyn Echikunwoke, Naturi Naughton, Marque Richardson, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Matt McGorry. The story revolves around Jamilah Bishop, played by Megalyn Echikunwoke, headed to Harvard Law School, who’s asked to teach a misbehaving mostly white sorority how to step.

Directed by Charles Stone III (Drumline, Paid in Full) and written by Chuck Hayward (Dear White People), who also serves as an executive producer, Step Sisters is produced by Emmy Award® winner Lena Waithe (“Master of None”), Ben Cory Jones (“Insecure”) and Matt Alvarez (Straight Outta Compton). Jeffrey Soros and Simon Horsman also serve as producers, and Patrick Murray and Josh Reinhold are executive producers on the film.
