Harlem’s Hero came to play ya’ll! We are so ready for Netflix’s Luke Cage starring Mike Colter (The Good Wife, Agent X, Jessica Jones) as the title character. The teaser just debuted at Comic Con in San Diego, and twitter lost it.
Following the comic books, Netflix and Marvel teamed up to create the series, which will follow Luke, who has incredible strength and super powers due to a botched experiment. Luke Cage is wrongly imprisoned and escapes prison to become a superhero for hire. The original comic was created by Archie Goodwin and John Romita and the character first appeared in June of 1972, in Luke Cage, Hero for Hire.
Not only is the trailer unapologetically black, but they even feature Wu-Tang. COME.ON. Anyway, I know a lot of people will be binge watching Luke Cage on September 30th including us.
