Here are 15 tips to relieve stress and help us to relax:
- Eat right and exercise 4-5 days per week
- Sleep eight hours a day
- Soak in a warm bath
- Drink plenty of water ( 8 glasses per day)
- Schedule time for fun daily
- Get out with friends, eliminate work talk
- Dance! Put on your favorite music and jam
- Plan a day trip for yourself
- Unplug for one hour. Stay off of social media
- Try adult coloring books
- Volunteer somewhere
- Learn how practice mindful meditation. Focus your attention on things that are happening in the present
- Listen to the sounds of the ocean or the rain with your eyes closed
- Watch a funny movie or television show–or something that makes you laugh
- Don’t be afraid to get help from a licensed mental health professional.
